Alese – Program Coordinator

Resiliency tip: “She stood in the storm and when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails”. Always be prepared for the storms of life whatever they may be. This helps you to stand tall and make it through every storm.

Marilyn – Assistant to the Program Coordinator

Resiliency tip: Be realistic, level-headed, and remember your own ability to effectively problem solve during a difficult situation or trying time in your life.

Morgan – Program Assistant

Resiliency tip: On a daily basis, try to find the joy in life, even in the smallest things. When faced with a setback, quickly go into “solution-seeking” mode to identify what will make the situation better.

Marnie – Institutional Research Assistant

Resiliency tip: Break down big problems into small manageable steps. The big stuff can be overwhelming and leave you unable to take action. Small steps can get the job done! If you can’t break a problem down get another perspective – ask a friend, relative, or counselor. The trick is to move FORWARD!

Phil – Career Development Coordinator

Resiliency tip: I was in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. It taught me “not to sweat the small stuff” and to keep your emotions under control and your wits about you, especially when others are in panic mode.
